Hiring the most clever people you can find will make life a lot easier for you, but raw intelligence should not be your only criteria. You should hire people who challenge you, who keep an open mind, who understand their faults and who know how to learn from people who don’t share their DNA. Hire people who make you better and who make the team better. Hire people because your gut and your brain got to talking and decided that this person understands your vision and maybe, just maybe, could take your product to the next level.
